Senior Consultant & Unit Head - Liver Transplant Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary SurgeryDr Ajitabh Srivastava is one of the most accomplished surgeon in the field of surgical gastroenterology and liver transplant. He has extensive experience in HPB Surgery and liver transplant beginning in 2005 while working with stalwarts in India. He istrained at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and did his ASTS accredited fellowship in Solid Organ transplant from Strong Memorial Hospital Rochester New York after clearing all the steps of USMLE.
He has to his credit of being founder member of transplant unit at Apollo Delhi, Apollo Chennai and MIOT Chennai and played important role in protocolising systems in these institutes. He has worked in the department of liver transplant at a senior position at MedantaMedicity and Fortis Group of Hospital NCR
Dr Srivastava has been member of the team pioneering in liver transplant in India and involved in subsequent innovations in living donor liver transplant such as minimally invasive donor hepatectomy, ABOI, Domino and dual liver transplant. He has participated in more than 2500 liver transplant including living donor, deceased donor, pediatric transplant and combined liver and kidney transplant. He is proficient in other complex hepatobiliary surgery, Surgical gastroenterology andKidney Transplant.
Dr Srivastava has to his credit of numerous papers and abstracts published in leading international and national journals. He has authored bookchapters in the textbooks.
Dr Srivastava is an active member of various professional organisations like Liver Transplant Society of India, American Society of Transplant Surgeon, International Liver Transplant Society, Indian Associations of Surgical Gastroenterology and Association of Surgeons of India
